Okwe Community in Oshimili South Local Government Area has been urged to rally round PDP as the 2023 general elections draw close by voting the Party all the way and support the Governor.
The State Commissioner for Humanitarian and Community Support Services, Dr Darlington Ijeh made the call in Asaba during a courtesy visit to his office by members of Otu-Ife- Onye-Wepu-Anya Age Grade from Okwe Community.
“For what Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is doing in Okwe community and Delta State in general needs your commendation and appreciation and the only way we can reciprocate his all-inclusive governance to our dear State, would be by massively casting our votes to the PDP” he stated.

He called on his kinsmen to go all out in the forthcoming elections to vote and deliver five over five for PDP more so, when the State Governor is the Vice Presidential candidate.
The Commissioner further said that what this present PDP administration had done for the good people of Okwe community was unprecedented in the history of Okwe since the advent of civilian rule of 1999.
“Dr. Arthur Okowa is a trailblazer in terms of institutionalizing democratic tenets in the State through his all-inclusive governance style,” he stated.
Commissioner Ijeh used the medium to inform the people of his community that Okwe road has received the Governor’s nod for construction and reminded his Age Grade that it was only in Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration that Okwe indigenes became Executive Assistant, Senior Special Assistant and also a member of the State Executive Council.
He posited that the present in-house rancor in the Party is surmountable and appealed to Party stalwarts to sheath their swords and come together to present a formidable force come 2023.
Earlier, the Leader of the Age Grade Group, Hon. Philip Uzorgu congratulated the Commissioner on his appointment as member of the State Executive Council and as Commissioner for Humanitarian and Community Support Services.
He said that the appointment which is unprecedented in the history of Okwe community is as a result of years of unconditional loyalty to People Democratic Party (PDP) that has finally paid off under the watch of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.
Hon. Chris Egbunike, a Councilor from the community extolled the virtues of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa in repositioning the state.
