Delta State Commissioner for Works (Urban & Highways), Mr Noel Omodon has expressed optimism that the Construction of the
Approach Road and Bridge to Beneku, in Ndokwa East and West Local Government Areas will be completed in April, 2022.
Speaking while on inspection of the projects yesterday, Mr Omodon stressed that the projects were of uttermost importance and government is desirous of completing it in record time.
He expressed satisfaction with the quality of work so far done on the projects and enjoined the contracting firm handling the project to maintain specifications and speed.

Mr Omodon remarked that the project had been on the minds of the people for decades, and noted that the pontu was the only means people could use to access other communities across the river from Kwale.
The works commissioner called on the people of the area to continue to support, trust and believe in Governor Okowa led administration and assured that all projects embarked upon by this administration would be completed.
Speaking earlier, the Site Engineer of the construction company handling the projects, Engr. Ladan Mamuda, assured that the projects would be completed by mid next year.
Engr. Mamuda explained that the sub-structure was 100 percent completed while the super structure is currently ongoing.
He however appealed to the commissioner to facilitate the release of adequate funds to enable the firm meet deadline.
