The Delta State Government has reassured Ministries, Departments and Agencies of its continued support to actualising the stronger Delta vision of the Okowa Administration.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr Chiedu Ebie disclosed this today when officials of the State Primary Health Care Agency (SPHCDA) paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
Mr Ebie noted that it was the responsibility of the Office of the SSG to see to the smooth running of the MDA’s to enable them achieve the purpose for which they were set up.
He assured the Governing Board and the Management of the SPHCDA that the State Government will put measures in place in order to provide adequate storage facilities for the COVID-19 vaccines to ensure its potency is retained anytime the State eventually takes delivery of the vaccines.
The SSG said government would continue to sensitize and encourage the public to always observe the COVID-19 protocols and measures put in place by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
Earlier, the Executive Director of the Agency, Dr Jude Winful-Orieke said they were in the SSG’s Office to sensitize him on the second wave of the COVID-19 and plans to introduce the vaccine to the people.
Dr Winful-Orieke stated that the number of COVID-19 positive cases was on the increase as a result of non- compliance to the COVID-19 protocols by the members of the public, while stating that the best way to flatten the curve is strict adherence to all guidelines put in place by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
