By Johnson Ebigide
A 3-day media workshop for journalists in the South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria has kicked off at the Institute For Public Policy Academy, Onicha Ugbo, in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State with a call on journalists to apply acquired practical media knowledge in assessing the performances of those in governance.

Prof. Monye thanked the organisers of the worship, Folio Media, Publishers of the Daily Times Newspapers, the sponsors, Dangote Group, the Midwestern Oil and Gas Company Ltd., for the choice of the venue at the institute in Onicha Ugbo, adding that it was quite timely, just as he urged the participants to take the training, which he said was well packaged, seriously towards building their capacity for the onerous tasks before them as journalists in the country.

IGBUDU PRIMARY SCHOOL NOW ACCESS ROAD TO MOTORISTS IN WARRI
By Ambrose Ologide
Desperate motorists, particularly commercial tricycle (keke ) riders, have turned the Igbudu Primary School Compound in Warri, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, to an access road.
This, as a result of the construction of the uncompleted canal across the ongoing drainage project in Warri/Sapele Road, by the 3rd Marine Gate Junction.
The traffic situation in the school compound was very chaotic as workers of the contracting firm and traffic control officials were not on ground to control the situation.
Some concerned residents expressed deep concerns over the situation, as they noted that turning the school compound to an alternative access road constituted great danger to the lives of pupils of the school, while some others said that the uncompleted carnal in the primary school and the nearby road posted a death trap to pupils of the school, mostly during the peak of rainy seasons.
It would be recalled that a tricycle plunged into the uncompleted open canal recently, with the rider sustaining various degrees of injuries that led to his death.
